I haven't actually seen the directory structure of RH 6.2. But I guess, it's still
the same.
Setting YES or TRUE to FORWARD_IPV4 in /etc/sysconfig/network will also enable
forwarding.

Old version such as  RH 4.0 till 4.2 by default, FORWARD_IPV4 is set to TRUE. This
changed in version 5.0 and later. FORWARD_IPV4 is set to FALSE.
