Well, I don't know about that. I'm still saving up to buy an  
LCD monitor of the size of my CRT. But IRC the discussion  
was about cheapo video cards. BTW don't LCDs also have analog inputs?

There are two ways of interpreting your statement. Does  
nVidia provide better support for its cards under Linux?  
Probably. But is nVidia better supported than ATI under  
Linux or free X in general? Debatable.  
  
The difference is like that between having a top-of-the-line  
Toyota Altis and a jeepney. There's no question that the  
Altis is better supported "officially". But there are more  
neighborhood mechanics that can service a broken jeepney  
than can a Toyota Altis. So, which is better supported?
