i don't think the "express edition" comes with any support.
it's just a toy.
so the support issue is irrelevant.

You could install it on any Linux distro that you want. But if you're
deploying it on a production server and you also need support from
Oracle, then you have no choice but to use officially supported
distros (RHEL, SuSE EL, etc) to get support from Oracle.
