It's off-topic because it's not phrased in that light. The thread is about which among four providers was the best, period. It has absolutely no provisions about which ones use DSL modems that work with Linux, and the providers listed in the original post work all use systems that work with Linux anyway. Most questions about getting WiFi access to work are about which WiFi adapter are supported in Linux, which is what makes them on-topic for PLUG. But if someone were to start a thread with the premise that the WiFi adapter is already supported and just wants to know if, for example, Airborne Access is better than Globe Wiz or something like that, then that would be off-topic here but perfectly okay in PLUG-Misc. --> Jijo -- Federico Sevilla III : jijo.free.net.ph : When we speak of free software GNU/Linux Specialist : GnuPG 0x93B746BE : we refer to freedom, not price. _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
