There is no difference, functionality-wise. Please. The only real difference between CentOS and the "original" Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 is the branding, which is absolutely meaningless if what you want to do is run and test software intended to run on a real RHEL4 installation. Getting the "real thing" through illicit channels will gain you nothing, and may result in your prosecution for copyright infringement. What do you want from RHEL that isn't in CentOS anyhow? You won't be able to tell Oracle Support (or a similar organization's support division) that you're running Red Hat Enterprise if you don't have a legitimate license from Red Hat. -- It is *so* convenient to have a system where everyone is a criminal. http://stormwyrm.blogspot.com/ _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
