Yes I tried prelink before and it kinda made openoffice faster in Ubuntu. Right now I am not using prelinl because I am running dapper fl 4 and its updating everyday and it cumbersome to run prelink everytime I upgrade.

Btw, the looplist you provided is really good. I am using Ubuntu for a long time now and I missed that page in the wikis. I will try some of it in Windows when I have time.
