Subject: [plug] firewall-gateway connectivity problem

im using ipcop as my firewall-gateway-router-dhcp-proxy for about 4 months now, but recently i am experiencing some connrctivity problem. what happens is when our name service provider goes offline momentarily(request time out) the natural course is our internet connection will be lost as well, but when connection goes back online again my ipcop box is still offline, clients connected to it can't surf the net, the reason i knew the connection is back again is because i connect a client pc directly to dsl modem and it can ping and surf the outside world while clients connected via my ipcop can't. the packets seems to stop from going in and out of my ipcop box and if ever the connection goes back, there is always a delay sometimes minutes, sometimes hours.
where do you think the problem lies? is it in the lan cards? is there a special configuration i have to do in order for it to always stay active if it is indeed the culprit?

TIA
