sorry if this has been posted before, but i just rejoined this mailing list :) i wonder if any of you have encountered installing drivers for a smartlink "winmodem" on ubuntu. i already tried to apt-get sl-modem-daemon and also compiling the source (from the smartlink web site) but upon loading the modem driver ( slamr.ko) they both bomb out with an error message.
