like it or not, not everybody is of sound mind and judgement. more so for things that they value more. comparison is good, as long as the context is very clear. unfortunately text communications do not do well in expressing emotions and that could lead to flame wars. rarely do i see level headed people completely avoid being dragged into a flame thread unless they avoid it beforehand. everyone has a delicate point that once touched will cause them to start throwing caution in the wind. it is a case to case basis. but i for one would rather appreciate keeping the mailing lists orientation pure rather than trawl through long pissing threads. there is nothing more appealing to me than to say 'nasa sapat na gulang na tayo para matutong mag-isip' but human nature is too unpredictable for such generalizations. sabi nga ng iba, if you are in doubt then dont. if you can pull it off, then go ahead but remember to don your flame suit. :) ciao! -- "Programming, an artform that fights back" Anuerin G.
