but i personally believe in this: "right tools for the right job".
that said, i do hope we get more threads that talk about how to use our particular penguin tool. i am enjoying for example the thread on Chroot--- i'm just reading it and learning from it. i do hope the list would move on to more technical matters like that chroot thread because thats what i pretty much why i signed on to this list.
cheers everyone!

it is easy to declare you are not fanatic but being hurt when someone
says your OS is inferior is an example of fanatisicm. why cant you
accept the truth that some OS security model is superior than linux.
thats a technical consideration and should not hurt your feelings.
well you can argue and make the statement false but not appeal to
emotion.being hurt means i'm only human doesn't mean i'm fanatic, and FYI i know that the BSD flavors are more secure than Linux by default but i don't call it inferiority like what you're implying. if you really think that Linux is really that inferior, why are you using it? let me qoute you from your previous post:
"what's wrong if linux is inferior to a certain OS? i still use it anyway. why? it's
free, open and has the widest support base."people use Linux because they know it's good not because it's free and open and have the widest support base, maybe not as secure as openBSD but it's still good, coz if it's not then who in their right frame of mind will use crap and inferior OS.
