It's great that somebody gave you an Ubuntu disk. Yes, it can dual-booted with XP. It's easy to do, usually you just follow the instructions on the installation disk (I don't use Ubuntu, so I'm not sure). The main things to remember when dual-booting though are:
1) Back-up your hard disk data.
2) Re-partition your hard disk to at least 3 (one NTFS for XP, one ext3 for Ubuntu and one swap).
3) Install Windows XP first, dahil mataray itong OS na ito at binubura ang Grub.
