Hi Allister =)

A `dpkg -S Module.symvers` would have told you the answer.[0]

[0] linux-headers-2.6.15-23-386:
/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.15-23-386/Module.symvers

Strangely, I have the linux-headers package but Module.symvers isn't
there. Any idea why?

{,Edu,K,X}ubuntu kernel packages are produced using the `make-kpkg'
program from the `kernel-package' package.[1] For building
third-party modules, I think you can use `module-assistant'[2] to
simplify the process for you (allowing you too to manage custom
modules to be installed within the APT system.)

[2] http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/misc/module-assistant

I'll look into them. Thanks.

By the way, I've just added edgy into my list of repositories in order
to get gcc 4.1 (I need it). Is there anything I should worry about or
be careful with, considering this is not production release? I
actually just needed gcc 4.1 (with g++ and gfortran).

Yours,
Allister
