I guess the more appropriate question would be whether there have been
known issues with Linux in general on AMD64: and the answer is yes.

I've had the chance to see Linux (CentOS 4.3 in particular) and the
kernel had some significant problems when dealing with context
switches (when the number of processes increased, performance degraded
significantly) and memory management (cache refreshes and heap long
jumps caused problems) needed some patience. If you plan on deploying
Linux on AMD64, if you can get away with using a 32-bit kernel
instead, then that would be a prudent choice at this point, especially
when you're talking about production environments -- and Linux on
AMD64 still in a state of flux (up until the last time I checked
anyway).
