Well OK. Any ADSL modem will do as long as long as you're connecting
to it via an Ethernet interface (RJ-45). Stay away from USB, PCI, or
PCMCIA or any other interface if you don't want configuration
headaches.

OK Some USB ADSL modems do work under Linux, especially if they're ACM
compliant. Some non-ACM compliant modems like the Alcatel/Thompson
Speedtouch 330. But like I said, configuration headaches.
