heheh there goes! the trusty old typewriter. i take that as a hint,
seriously. nobody has a problem with that ui at all! there is
something a computer cannot match in the utility of a typewriter. i
True, but look at how much more you can do with the computer. You hear
this all the time: "Why can't a computer be as easy to use as
{telephone | calculator | typewriter | pencil and paper }?" For the
same reason that a Harrier is harder to operate than the { automobile
| bicycle | Segway (??) }. More functionality (truth to tell, I hate
that word <g>) means more things to learn.
doubt if m$ can come up with something thats can compete with a
typewriter. early apple macs came close until they went gaga over the
xerox star.
its time somebody went back to the old macs and updated the technology.
Having said all the above, I do have misgivings about the WIMP
interface. More on this some other time.
