I would rather have it this way too. But I have reservations against making FOSS mandatory for Government. I would like to think that it's the private sector's burden to prove to government that FOSS will work for it. Some people like the idea of making Government create demand, then the supply follows. I would rather we develop the supply first, then show government that the supply is enough to meet their current and future demands. Maybe that's where my opposition from the FOSS bill stems from, as well as my different view regarding "choice" and "freedom" as far as government goes. -- Dean Michael C.
