unfortunately yes.

If thats not fun for you then you can wait for ubuntu to release their
upstart based version.

That sucks. I'm using CEntOS, I hope there'll be a version for Red Hat-based distros. I wonder if Red Hat or the CEntOS team have the same plan as Ubuntu does.
