i am wishing to send an email to an address at gmail DOT com
postfix issued this error: connect to
alt1.gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com[72.14.215.27]: No route to host
yes i can ping this server. i believe the default gateway of my server is
configured correctly because i can surf the net by using 192.168.1.1 as default
gateway and DNS server.
the firewall is built in a linksys router.

hi i can now send email but it cannot pass through the postfix server. it
just stays on queue and has an error: no route to host. i am behind a firewall
but i set this server to be on DMZ.
what i did was i append my ip address to the mynetwork directive.
when I run #tail -f /var/log/maillog it returns an error and upon checking
i learned that i don't have that log but i do have mail.log, mail.err, and
mail.warn. the logs do not contain relevant info
im using ubuntu 6.06 lts.
is it possible that my isp blocks port 25? im using a satic ip address form
bayantel.
