Hi,

My MySQL database seems to have suffered from corruption and I'd like to
ask
MySQL gurus here what could have happened. Here's a log of my session:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/nocheats$ mysql nocheats -p

Reading table information for completion of table and column names
You can turn off this feature to get a quicker startup with -A

Didn't find any fields in table 'phones'
Didn't find any fields in table 'reports'
Didn't find any fields in table 'unconfirmed'
Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.
Your MySQL connection id is 23 to server version:
4.1.11-Debian_4sarge7-log

Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the buffer.

mysql> describe phones;
ERROR 1016 (HY000): Can't open file: 'phones.MYI' (errno: 145)
mysql> describe reports;
ERROR 1016 (HY000): Can't open file: 'reports.MYI' (errno: 145)
mysql> describe unconfirmed;
ERROR 1016 (HY000): Can't open file: 'unconfirmed.MYI' (errno: 145)

Tables phones, reports and unconfirmed were ok a few days ago. Now they
are
somehow corrupted. I do remember losing power and having to reboot one or
two
days ago.

I am wondering how .MYI could disappear just like that: an intrusion? a
software problem? the power loss?

I don't quite know where to start and would appreciate advice. I'm using
Debian Sarge and MySQL 4.1.

Regards to all,

Obet
