I never relied on a single company anyway, in my experience, the average is
30k gross (nothing below 25), so i keep around 4 positions on 4 different
companies. I recently traded 2 positions for one with higher compensation.
Only cons is you have to pick companies that doesn't have the same target
market which means i have to be very familiar not only with the technology
but the business aspects as well to avoid conflicting interests.
