You can try xine, totem, and mplayer. You have to install deCSS to be able to watch dvds, I guess. If it is not included in xubuntu's packages, I suggest you search the Internet for debs. I believe it is illegal to put it in their repositories.
i was hoping like put in the dvd then load the movie? when i put in the dvd movie, it doesnt show in thunar file manager. but dvd based installers do show.
