Can't compare to OEL, but Oracle claims they're rolling in their own fixes. Considering that these are the guys who contributed OCFS2 to the kernel, forgive me if I'm wrong but they seem to have more credibility than Johnny Hughes. :P
That said, I still use CentOS, myself. :) On 2/26/07, Pablo Manalastas <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
The websites of CentOS, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and Scientific Linux tell us that these distros are all derived from RHEL, and that their latest releases are derived from release 4.4 of RHEL. Personally, I believe that Scientific Linux has done the most patches to RHEL4.4 to get SL4.4. Also SL seems to be the most "open", specially when compared to OEL, from which updates are available only by paid subscription. CentOS seems okay, but SL people seem to work harder at improving RHEL4.4 than CentOS people.
