pardon if posting is not appropriate... just thought that there'd be quite a lot here who'd be qualified forwarding this fellowship opportunity at IETF meetings...
--s ++++++++ ---snip--- In any case, ISOC, the Internet Society, offers meeting attendance support for "individuals from developing regions that possess a solid level of technical education and enough knowledge about concrete areas of IETF work to follow and benefit from the meeting's technical discussions." The two upcoming meetings are IETF 68, Prague, Czech Rep., 18 - 23 March 2007 IETF 69, Chicago, USA, 22 - 27 July 2007 and the application info at: http://www.isoc.org/educpillar/fellowship/application.shtml indicates that applications for Prague are still open. So while it seems a trifle late for that, who knows? Incidentally the level of support includes: * A round-trip, economy class airline ticket to attend the meeting; * Hotel accommodation for the duration of the meeting; * IETF meeting registration fees; * The fee for the IETF Social Event; and * A US$400 stipend to offset incidental expenses (such as meals not provided as part of the IETF meeting, ground transportation, related expenses, etc.) The stipend is paid to the Fellow upon arrival at the meeting. ---snip---
