SAP A1 blows away any available Open Source ERP out there on functionality and
stability. As for B1... well... take a very hard look at it and compare it to
Oracle's offerings (Peoplesoft, JDE, Oracle Apps). On open source ERPs, you
may end up spending more time customizing/extending it.

I'm curious, what "important things" (as you say it) cannot be done by
commercial ERP software?

Subject: [plug] Enterprise ERP

We are currently shopping for an ERP for a retailing business. Right
now we are looking at SAP A1 and SAP B1. There are some but important
things that can't be done in such a software, that's why I am leaning
more on getting a customized software. A software based on open source
technologies is good but we are open to any kind of platform.

Ideas? Any developers out there interested? Please email me privately.
