Right, for the simple reason that Microsoft products is pretty much
the "de facto" standard for computing at the moment because it takes
the lion's share of the market.

If you pass any of these certification from tesda you are "competent". How
about those who are competent and experts on Linux and open office and other
programming languages. How can they be certified competent ?

Certification is relative to an industry that supports it.
Fortunately, an IT professional is pretty much free to be an expert of
both MS and GNU/Linux offerings.
