Ok this is a little unrealistic. What we need is for the government to make it easy for business to start and survive. Thats the only way to acheive this. We need to grow our own IT industries that is ready to meet our many unfilfilled Information Infrastructure needs. That means 5000 php laptops with 10 hour battery running times that can be sustained without the need for extensive power infrastructures, wireless meshes that does not require too much telco infrastructures, an open hardware and open source tamperproof security processor modules. All with royalty free hardware and technology. We dont need to worry about software anymore its being taken care of. Well if the government can fund the software development then i think thats more than enough to prevent the "brain drain" both to companies abroad and to the "Evil Empire". -- Lay low and nourish in obscurity _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
