I'm mystified by the sudden inability of my linux (Ubuntu 7.04 64-bit) installation to connect to the internet. All of a sudden (it was fine last night, no updates made. no configuration changes) I can't connect to my destiny cable modem (am not using a router). My IP address is 0.0.0.0. At first I thought it was bad cable, so I put in a new one but it's still the same.
I restarted the network and the machine several times, to no avail. It works fine in Windows (from which I'm posting right now.) Did I miss anything?
