I just recently replace the motherboard and processor without reinstalling the
linux os. Gladly, it boot up but with error. I have two lancard. One is builtin
and a pci. Only the pci has the problem. I have encountered the error
"via-rhine device eth1 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization".
When I command lspci, it shows some thing, output is the ff:

00:00.0 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 0204
00:00.1 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 1204
00:00.2 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 2204
00:00.3 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 3204
00:00.4 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 4204
00:00.7 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 7204
...........................
..........................

I tried to create ifcfg-eth1 but when I do restart, it doesn't applied. i
already change lan card. Is there some files to remove/edit so that it
recognize the lan card? Kernel version is 2.4.21-4.ELsmp. Could it be the lan
card is not supported? This is the first time I encountered this problem. BTW,
the OS is White Box
