Anybody from plug who have use Untangle. The concept looks promising but I am having problem running the Vmmare image on an Ubuntu box. I have experienced setting up a Fortinet 400 so I am looking for an open source (free hehehehehe) that I could use at home. Testing the VMware image is getting to be a pain. Becuase after the intial configuration my whole Ubuntu box would hang. I suspect it is because my box is only 1ghz and with 1 gig RAM and 2 NIC cards. I am running Ubuntu 6.06 then VMware server then the Untangle virtual machine. I was to try re-routing my incoming/outgoing Internet traffic to the virtual machine but every time I get pass the intial config I can not even SSH to my box. Is Untangle worth it or will tangle up my network?? Are any suggestion so for replacement. Thanks.
