Yes it will, just make sure you satisfy all dependencies. A warning though, don't install the MySQL from the repo if you do install the MySQL from the site, it will cause conflicts, and you might spend a lot of time cleaning it up just to get it working again. As always, it is highly advisable to use the packages from the Ubuntu Repository. It's easier and faster. Not to mention that security issues will get fixed without the need to go through the installer setup all over again.
