Please try these settings:
CONFIG_MK8=y
CONFIG_SCHED_SMT=n
CONFIG_X86_GENERIC=n
By the way you should say no to CONFIG_COMPAT_VDSO. Gentoo does not
use old versions of GLIBC. You take advantage of randomized VDSO if
you say no.
Send me your .config if it still does not work.
