hehehe. i gotcha. i think PLUG should first post or update its vision/mission statement and make it clear(attn: Gabriel). before, what's needed is to promote FOSS and then recently, lobby FOSS in gov't/public education but other NGOs are already doing the latter and they're doing it well. i remember Ian S. saying that we should not have a similar endeavor but should provide community/tech support that they need instead (which are the core competencies of PLUG).
there's one group that i'm aware of who've managed to establish a non-porfit org which serves as a webhosting service/mentor for other non-profits. we can do something similar if there's no conflict of interest, that is. how about creating an API to tap the wisdom of PLUG, then license it somewhere? ala PLUG-Answers/ExpertExchange, anyone? :-D On Sun, Jun 1, 2008 at 4:36 AM, Christian Masancay <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > [...]Well it's not really about doing business, but more of having a > business > approach/perspective for PLUG.
