if that is the case then you produce more bugs in your given code..

$ ls -l --full-time passwd
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 2251 2007-10-24 13:29:12.000000000 +0800 passwd

if you use my given code example.. with or without --full-time
parameter produce the correct output...
