I'm interested in DMSs as well. Has anybody tried
Nuxeo or Alfresco?

Not sure if the client is using it. It was supposed to be an
alternative to a Microsoft-equivalent product (SharePoint I think).
I can help you set it up if you have your own server. Maybe
someone can help with the indexing part too. It uses Lucene.
