We appreciate all the inputs and the support. Currently we are checking on LLVM http://llvm.org/. It seems good. We are also checking the LLVM for cpp compatibility.
We're just busy as of the moment for the SFD09 preparation and event, but we are looking at forming a collaborative effort for this initiative wherein programmers and contributors can proactively participate in this endeavor. We can discuss things over bottles of beer, not so formal venue where everybody is welcome. just email us develop...@8layertech.com. We'll keep you posted. Btw, it has only been a week (since its web debut, soft launch) and Kahel OS already got 100+ downloads. Thank you. It's their distro. If they can provide a significantly faster (and still stable) distro using this flag, we all can benefit from it. Even if they fail, their experience may lead to improvements to GCC or other areas in the open source universe, maybe even to the kernel. I say let them have a go at it.
