I have this (Smart Bro Share It) and it's only a few months old. My initial experience was awesome, and I use it primarily in Salcedo Village, Makati. For at least a few weeks now latency has been quite erratic, shooting up to ~400ms averages from the usual <100ms (I'm talking second hop, which is the mobile data segment). This has significantly affected the experience, but it continues to be usable. On SpeedTest to PLDT's host just now performance is 138ms latency, 2.56Mbps download, and 0.34Mbps upload. Not bad for the price, plus that I can move it around within Metro Manila. But otherwise, I figure DSL is probably a bit more consistent. YMMV as well. Experience depends significantly on where you're going to use it from. Cheers! -- Federico Sevilla III F S 3 Consulting Inc. http://www.fs3.ph
