I don't feel that comfortable with the UNR which is why I wanted to switch
to Gnome. What I have done so far, is change to Gnome from the login prompt
so now it looks a little bit better.

How do I remove the UNR as a choice in the login prompt? I checked the Ubuntu
Wiki <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UNR> and it says I can use this

gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop false

Will this work?
