Hello peeps,

Im fairly new with managing Linux servers and i have a project of upgrading our
etch servers to the current version (i know this should have been done years
ago). Recently after upgrading one of our fileserver, the raid device where our
files are stored were gone after rebooting the server. When i checked mtab, i
didn't see our /dev/sdb1 mounted, i did an fsck on the device afterwhich
resulted to getting our files in the lost+found folder. I also saw in
/var/log/messages that the journal was gone and now the disk was labelled as
ext2. What are things i can do that will prevent this kind of incident
happening
again? Also is there a way to recover files in the lost+found directory? thanks!

Cheers,
Sancho
