Anyone here have experience backing up Informix databases (IBM Informix
Dynamic Server Version 9.40.) to a disk?
Most of the resources I saw (including manuals) only shows how to backup
to a tape drive (not feasible in my case). There's one material that I'm still
trying to "digest" : http://oreilly.com/catalog/unixbr/chapter/ch14.html . The
material is a bit "heavy" for a non Informix DBA like me. I tried running the
"onbar" command but seems there's no parameter for writing to disk.
Any primer would be appreciated.
