M-x devils-advocate-troll-sub-mode 1. Filipinos don't care. Fsck your POS software if I can't do XXX. 2. Filipinos don't write good software. Or at least, they think they can't write code as good as others. 3. Filipinos pirate. Why should I write code when I can steal someone else's and pass this off as mine (er wait, why do I even have to build the code when binary copies are out on the streets for cheap?) :P M-x devils-advocate-mode > Spending time on a sideline is in the story because it's competition > for the Pinoy's time. > If one had the available time and the talent, what would they > prioritize in the hierarchy of needs? I'd lie if I didn't admit to enjoying spare time and talent on things other than contributing to FOSS. Probably because the other half of my time is spent on working with FOSS to do stuff, indirectly contributing by sheer usage, directly contributing with the occasional bug report or patch. Directly contributing to FOSS (e.g. maintaining packages, writing new Perl modules, etc) would probably be higher in my list if I'm paid to do it, and only that *hint hint* :P -- Zak B.
