Hello PLUG,
I am in favor of having emails hosted and servers located in the Philippines
for soveriegn reasons - especially for our government use. But I prefer our
government to outsource this function to a local IT company who are more
technically capable of running cloud infrastructure. Our government will save
on buying hardware, licenses, salaries, connectivity and maintenance costs.
More importantly, the private sector would be able to profit and provide local
employment.
Disclosure: My company provide email hosting and virtual server hosting to
government offices already on a non-cloud infrastructure. Our servers are
located in Vitro Data Center and IPVG.
Cheers!
John

Paolo,
They have servers here in the Philippines and in the USA.. Think they might
actually add a second site here in the Philippines for redundancy.
