Hi pluggers.

I have a just-arrived, brand spanking new server to play with for the next few
days or so.  I'm toying with the idea of using RAID 6 on this for storage.  I
can put 4 disks right now on it during the setup and additional 2 disks later.
My question is: when I add the 2 additional disk, is it standard for RAID 6 to
redistribute data and parity across the 6 drives?  I would want it to, I just
want to know if this is automatic.  If so, great.  If not, I hope there's a
simple way (a command or something) to initiate it.

The server is a Supermicro server with an SMC2108 (OEM'd LSI2108) raid
controller.

Have a nice long weekend everyone!
