Silly man.. remember a project called SASN/WiMax a few years ago ??

All of Globe CONSUMER networks either goes thru SASN (Ericsson) or Redback DPI 
(Deep Packet Inspection) devices. Depending on the Purchase Plan you bought P2P 
has different rate limits as does http downloads, udp video streaming etc.

PLDT has simular deployments with the myDSL network and some parts of Smart 
(but not all) also have SASN clusters. Don't think they used the Redback 
DPI/BRAS devices.

It should be noted that *application rate shaping* is not illegal in the USA 
but *application rate limiting* is.
