Nuclear? Not gonna happen in the Phillipines. In your next life maybe. Nuclear is the key to growth in the near future. Nobody can deny that. We can already see who is going to be growing their economies faster than anybody else. Those who are investing in nuclear power among other things.
But beyond that renewables is the only way. Storage is the key to renewables. There are many ways to solve that now. Smart power grids, pumped storage, new battery technologies. I would bet on solar and micro hydro pumped storage myself. On the other hand ultra high efficiency electrical devices and machimrd will complement that. Electric mass transport and plugin hybrids for example. Linux will have a big role in all this as this will all require low cost embedded controllers and open standards.
