Sometimes I use T-Mobile's Total Internet to obtain a connection when nothing else is available, using ActiveSync with a USB connection on a Windows laptop. Now I am thinking about getting a netbook, but it would save money if Linux was an option.
When I connect the phone to a desktop running Ubuntu 8.10, with no other network connection present, it reports that a connection has been made (and so does the phone), but I am not able to browse the Web. Is anyone familiar with this application?
