I just joined plug-talk to see what shenanigans are going on. Can you sue for libel? Sure but I doubt it would hold up in court (mind you I'm not a lawyer). You are posting things to a public forum which is then indexed and available to anyone. In this age of the internet unfortunately for better or worse you can't have a reasonable expectation of privacy unless you are using secured lists/email etc and it's leaked, that might be another story. i Can you stop whomever is doing this? Probably not. Email address/header spoofing is incredibly trivial. You certainly however, can defend yourself and state what is not accurate. Resorting to hostile attacks in response to what is apparently happening doesn't make things look any better in your favor IMHO. You could also choose to take the high road and simply ignore it. If someone is trying to get underneath your skin and provoke you and you respond, which it appears is what is happening then they are accomplishing their goal. If you don't respond then they have no reason to continue because whatever their aim is, is then removed from the equation.
