Earlier this morning I apparently lost all SCSI and pseudo-SCSI devices.
There are no longer any /dev/sd*. Yesterday and early this morning I was
able to mount my mp3 player (/dev/sda -> /mnt/meizu) without any problems.
Now I cannot. However, if I use the same USB port, I can mount/umount the
flash drive and can see it being recognized in /var/log/messages.

   Tailing /var/log/messages doesn't reflect plugging/unplugging the mp3
player.

My questions are: 1) what might have happened, and (more importantly) 2)
what is the most efficient way to get /dev/sda back?
