After spending time futzing with this yesterday, and following Rod's suggestion of periodically running the script, it worked again this morning. This has happened before: the script runs daily for a while, then ceases. I wonder if it's something to do with cron rather than the shell script, 1pflogsumm. None of this makes sense to me. The script works, then it doesn't, then it does again. Anyway, it ran as scheduled so we'll see what happens in the future. Certainly a consumption of time better spent, and without definite resolution by finding a specific cause.
