The PCMCIA wireless card I have for my notebook uses the Prism54 chip set.
It used to use the isl3890 firmware which was installed in either
/etc/hotplug/firmware/ or /lib/firmware. Since my clean upgrade to
Slackware-12.2, that firmware file has gone. So are the /etc/hotplug/ and
/lib/firmware/ directories

Looking at the p54 firmware site I see that for pci/PCMCIA adapters on
kernels older than 2.6.28 there is an isl3886 firmware version but not an
isl3890 firmware.

My questions are: whether the isl3886 will work with my card and where I
should install that file if I download it.
