Tony, I'm probably missing the point, but the above seems to reference both an older kernel than the one provided in the 9.04 distribution and a lack of working WPA, not recognition of the Orinoco Gold card itself. Later this morning I'll power on the laptop and report the kernel version and firmware version for the referenced file. Perhaps it's the corrupted size, too. Thanks, Rich -- Richard B.
